Can't uninstall BthPS3
-
Hello,
I had BthPS3 successfully working but was wondering why the 4 LEDs were still constantly blinking after connecting my DS3 controller through Bluetooth.
Shibari output was fine except a warning message:
Auto-pairing not supported as BthPS3 and/or Bluetooth Host Radio not found
. I thought the problem was from my integrated Bluetooth drivers (Qualcomm Atheros AR3012 Bluetooth 4.0
) so I found more recent ones and installed them.My DS3 controller was still perfectly working with Bluetooth but I was still having the LEDs blinking and Shibari warning issue, so I wanted to try to reinstall BthPS3, but the installer won't let me uninstall it!
When I run it I can only click on the
Remove
button then after that it throws an error saying that Bluetooth Host Radio is not found and aborts the removal process. So I uninstalled the Bluetooth Nefarius driver manually from device manager, removed the installation folder in program files but the installer still throws the same error!
And now I just downloaded the new installer (
v1.3.72
) and removed the old one, but it won't let me install it because:This is driving me crazy please help me aaaaaaaaa!!!!

Well, that's not the proper way to do it, manually fidgeting with Device Manager
There's a few workarounds though. Install an older version, remove it via uninstaller from Apps & features panel and then try the latest setup again.
Cheers

@nefarius Yes that's how I did it, I found the solution few hours after my post but since it had to be approved I couldn't edit/reply.
Now everything works again, but I still have the 4 LEDs constantly blinking while connected through Bluetooth.
Cheers!

Yeah I unfortunately had to turn on post moderation thanks to spamming scum. I won't give them the satisfaction of abusing this platform for their fraudulent causes. Comes at the cost of regular users but what can I do. There's no staff of moderators so this solution has to do.
The blinking LEDs have literally zero expressiveness in Bluetooth functionality, it just means the controller doesn't get the or understand the packets sent to it to set the proper LED pattern, that's a Shibari issue I can not solve.
