      Heya!

When it comes to API-hooking on the Windows platform, Microsoft Detours is pretty much expected to pop up sooner or later in search results. I haven’t given the library much attention in the past couple of years because for open-source stuff and private individuals in general it was fairly useless thanks to the included limitations only lifted by purchasing a (rather expensive) professional license. “Features” like supporting niche platforms (x64 🙄) for example weren’t available in the free edition.

Fortunately the tables have turned; it’s available under MIT now! 😲

Slick move, I definitely recommend everybody interested in API-hooking and even users of existing libraries (like MinHook) to take a quick look because what Detours offers is simply amazing!

      👋
