Shibari crashes on startup

  • I've used Shibari before with my ps3 controller before, and it's worked just fine in the past. However, today everything broke for seemingly no reason. I've tried reinstalling everything but the problem has persisted. Starting shibari via its EXE with powershell causes this error:

    Configuration Result:
    [Success] Name Shibari.Dom.Server
    [Success] DisplayName Shibari Dom Server
[Success] Description Manages AirBender, FireShock & BthPS3 Devices.
    [Success] ServiceName Shibari.Dom.Server

Running just the .exe normally would result in its window closing before being able to read what was going on.

Installing Shibari as a service went fine, but trying to start it as a service gave this error:

Start-Service : Failed to start service 'Shibari Dom Server (Shibari.Dom.Server)'.
    At line:1 char:1
    + Start-Service Shibari.Dom.Server

       ServiceCommandException
        + FullyQualifiedErrorId : StartServiceFailed,Microsoft.PowerShell.Commands.StartServiceCommand

I can't say if these problems originated from, say, a windows update or program installation because I haven't tried using Shibari in at least a couple weeks, iirc.

Any help would be appreciated, I'm desperate to get this working again because my 360 controller has started to drift recently...

  • Hi,

    Is this the latest version?

    Cheers

  • I believe so, it's version 1.5.171 (latest entry on buildbot).

  • This post is deleted!

  • @nefarius any update? don't mean to sound ungrateful for your time but I would really like to use my DS3 again 😅

  • I have no idea what this is about and currently no capacity to look into it.

  • ok yeah that's fair. guess i'll see if I can get SCP working again
